The Department of Religious Studies at the McNamara School provides students the opportunity to explore and learn about various religions. The main emphasis is not on any specific religion, and courses are offered on all of the main religions, as well as philosphical thought and religious practices and institutions. The courses are designed to be supplemental to the overall Humanities theme that the School hopes to teach all students. Religious Studies helps students to broaden their horizons and to gain knowledge of the type of world that they live in. Jack Homesley has been researching various religions and religious practices for the past two decades. He brings to the McNamara School a strong and thorough knowledge of all the major religions with a strong background in Christianity.
